Emory-Adventist Hospital at Smyrna (EAH) recently selected Beverly Flowers, RN as the Second Quarter, 2011 Associate Of The Quarter. Beverly joined EAH in 1998 and currently works as a Registered Nurse in the ICU. “I started working at EAH in August of 1998. I've been a RN for 37 years and because of the uniqueness that can only be found at EAH, I have remained here longer than any other place of employment during all of these years,” said Beverly.
Beverly received several nominations from her colleagues who commented on her strong values, support of co-workers, compassion, communication and her clinical expertise. Ed Moyer, Vice President of Nursing and Operations/COO adds, “Beverly has a great team attitude and is continually looking to see how she can support those around her.”
The Associate of the Quarter program encourages employees to nominate a co-worker who exemplifies the hospital’s SHARE principals of sensing people’s needs, helping each other out, acknowledging people’s feelings, respecting the dignity and pride of others and explaining what’s happening, as well as the hospital’s mission of “Extending the healing ministries of Christ.” A finalist is then selected by a committee from EAH Leadership and past winners.
