Gifts made to the Foundation allow Emory-Adventist Hospital at Smyrna to meet extraordinary needs of the hospital and to develop programs which serve our community. There are several ways to make a philanthropic gift to support that extra measure of care at Emory-Adventist Hospital at Smyrna through The Foundation of EAH. Your gift may support patient care programs, medical equipment, clinical research, or medical education. Gifting In Wills, Life Insurance, Stock or Property
Your Will
Through your last will and testament, you can designate a specific amount or a specific asset to be donated to The Foundation of Emory-Adventist Hospital.
Life Insurance
You may designate The Foundation of Emory-Adventist Hospital as the beneficiary of your life insurance policy or purchase a separate policy specifically for The Foundation. There are current tax advantages in purchasing a separate policy.
Always seek the counsel of your estate or financial planner and your insurance agent so that you may receive the maximum tax benefit, as IRS rules and regulations are subject to change.
Stock or Property
To facilitate gifts of securities, including stocks, mutual funds, and certain bonds, you or your broker need to provide:
- Donor's name and complete address
- Name and number of securities to be transferred
- Any designation within hospital (i.e., ICU, Emergency Room, Patient Care, Surgical Suites, Foundation's Discretion)
