Needed: Your Time and Talents!
Volunteering does more than just benefit the hospital – it will bring you great personal reward. Emory-Adventist Hospital at Smyrna (EAH) supports a thriving and growing volunteer program. Our volunteers come from a wide variety of backgrounds and bring with them equally diverse talents.
We offer opportunities to serve in the following areas:
Patient Care
Do you have a heart longing to serve others? Volunteers serving in Patient Care find themselves in the Emergency Center, on the Medical/Surgical Floor or in Outpatient Surgery. Duties include assisting patients and their families with any non-medical need and staff support.
Guest Relations
Our line of first impression is our greeter and escort volunteers. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, delivering newspapers and magazines, and escorting guests and patients to various departments and requires a “people personality.”
Clerical Support
Offering the skills acquired during a lifetime of office work, clerical volunteers bring many different talents to the departments in which they serve.
Group Projects
Provide complete adult craft kits.
Special music presentations.
On-call to provide assistance to a patient in need such as clothing, shoes, etc.
Bus tokens and taxi fare.
