Prayer Warriors

Each Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. a group of "Prayer Warriors" meets in the hospital chapel to pray for the patients and friends of Emory-Adventist Hospital at Smyrna.  The patient roster is divided up and each patient is lifted up in prayer. Confidentiality is always maintained. Patients are referred to by first name only.

Hospital president, Dennis Kiley ,explains the significance of this type of ministry: "Our hospital slogan is 'PEOPLE WHO CARE. A MISSION THAT MATTERS.'  With that in mind, some of our employees realized that in order to care for the 'whole' person, they needed to be concerned about a patient's spiritual and emotional health, as well. Prayer is a mighty force; our warriors know that!"
