Health Information at Your Fingertips: EAH Offers New Online Tool

“MyAccess” Allows Patients to Securely View and Store Hospital Health Information with the Click of a Mouse.

SMYRNA, GA, (May 3, 2011) - Beginning this week, Emory-Adventist Hospital at Smyrna (EAH) patients are able to access their hospital health information online. “MyAccess,” a secure, personalized portal, is now available on the Emory-Adventist Hospital website, allowing patients to manage their health information anywhere they have access to the internet.

Through “MyAccess,” patients can: review their medical record summary, including discharge instructions, immunizations, medications and procedures; access their clinical results, such as lab results; and view personal information, such as insurance and personal data.

“We are pleased to deploy this new tool that empowers our patients to more effectively manage their health information in one convenient, secure location,” said Dennis Kiley, Emory-Adventist Hospital at Smyrna CEO.

EAH patients can establish their secure “MyAccess” account during the admission process, in-person at the Health Information Management Department, or via mail by printing, completing and notarizing a registration form from www.emoryadventist.org. Once registered, patients can access the “MyAccess” tool on www.emoryadventist.org in the “Patients and Visitors” section.

Emory-Adventist Hospital at Smyrna is a not-for-profit facility operated by Adventist Health System (AHS) as a joint venture with Emory Healthcare. The hospital is located at 3949 South Cobb Drive, Smyrna, Ga.
