The Foundation of Emory-Adventist Hospital at Smyrna
Announces completion of Digital Mammography Campaign
(Smyrna, GA, January 24, 2012)— Today, The Foundation of Emory-Adventist Hospital announced it has completed its digital mammography fundraising campaign. Foundation Chairman, Jim McDaniel, presented members of Emory-Adventist Hospital administration and radiology departments with a check for $83,079.12 at the Foundation’s board meeting. The check presentation brings the total funds raised to $220,000 for the hospital’s digital mammography equipment.
“The Foundation is pleased to provide this state-of-the-art technology to our community. Our Trustees have worked hard in executing various fundraising events and those efforts along with a generous anonymous donation have brought this campaign to a close,” says Gwen Baldwin, foundation director.
“We are thankful to have a foundation that supports our mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ. Many women in our community will benefit from this equipment,” says hospital COO, Ed Moyer.
The Foundation will vote on a new fundraising campaign to be announced at a later date.
